Mobility is essential to the functioning of the Malaysian society and a car seems to be a must for all of us. More cars on the road present major problems in terms of congestion, safety and environmental impact. Traffic congestion has now affected our major road network, and most importantly, rapidly increased accidents and fatalities on Malaysian roads each year. Most cars drivers today would like their driving to be made easier with fewer delays, more comfort, less maintenance cost and less chances of getting injured or involved in any inconvenient situations. In short, all of us would like to reach our destination safely, economically, and comfortably.

As an educational institution, we must not only continue to evolve and respond to both the current and future need of those we serve, but also to create awareness among Malaysians particularly in the areas that we are an expert in, in our case - Cars. We want to be both champion of safe driving ad the catalyst for defensive driving. With these mind, this publication was developed as a compilation of issues related to cars that we think would make your driving more comfortable , economical and safe.

The primary purpose of this book is to provide resources that will enable its readers to acquire and refer to related information that might assist them to make better decisions and actions in their daily driving lives. This book is also a practical handbook that can offer the support, knowledge, skills and methods to address issues related to cars and driving. It contains very clear information, designed to give answers and tools that are easy to read and easy to use. We recommend that this book be kept in the glove compartment of the car to enable it to be available whenever needed.
